Scott, Douglass, Luton & McConnico, LLP Houston, Texas (Currently occupied by Gallagher, Lewis, Downey & Kim) INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE DESIGN OF LAW OFFICE When we asked the client for an example of the kind of image they desired for the new office space, the resounding answer was “Range Rover” – elegant and inviting, but ready for action. The design relies on cherry panelled walls, polished granite floors, a Texas limestone feature wall and a two-story reception area with a dramatic feature stair to give the space identity. Custom work stations were designed for the secretaries. In addition, emphasis was placed on the work environment being user-friendly. A prime corner was utilized for the employee break room, complete with a mural painted by the architect’s staff. This project was honored with three design awards – one national and two local.
