Schlumberger Data Management Center Houston, Texas INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN Schlumberger engaged KRHA to design the first of its kind data management center in which energy companies could outsource their exploration and geophysical data for safekeeping and easy access. By definition, the facility had to be self-sufficient. A 300 kw emergency generator capable of supplying power for seven days, redundant mechanical and electrical systems, and the highest possible level of security support the hurricane-proof computer center, which is the ultimate focal point of the design concept. Sage green laminate walls, natural stone flooring and subtle color variations give a sense of comfort and confidence. The entire facility is designed to allow for flexible workspace needs while providing the highest level of confidentiality and security.
